Faye P. Hensley

Ms. Faye P. Hensley, age 91, of Johnson City, passed away on February 7, 2014 at Governors Bend Assisted Living in Erwin, TN. Faye was an Erwin native and a daughter of the late Arthur Garfield and Polly Elizabeth Forbes Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband of 58 years, James H. Hensley, Jr.; one sister, Pauline Phillips; and one daughter, Polly Porter. She was a member of the Mr. and Mrs. Class of First Christian Church. Faye was also a member of the East Tennessee Ex-Prisoner of War Chapter. Survivors include: one daughter, Rebecca Hensley, of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Jamie Hensley and his wife Bonnie, Benjamin Shepard and his wife Jen, Jessica Rogers and her husband Tracey, and Paul Shepard; and two great grandchildren, Hudson Hensley and Ryder Clay. The family of Ms. Faye Hensley wishes to extend a special thank you to the Unicoi County Hospital Medical/Surgical Unit and Governors Bend Assisted Living, Amedisys Home/Hospice Care and special friends Paula King, Morgan Jenkins, Delores Shook, Judy Moss and Lucy for their love and care.
