Freda M. Carver, 95, passed away on May 7, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Freda retired from United Cities Gas Company after 25 years. Freda was a member of Watauga Point United Methodist Church in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
Freda was a gifted painter, painting many beautiful pictures. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and the beach. She spent many winters in the sunshine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Carver and granddaughter, Tracy Carver. Survivors include her sons, Larry Carver (Wanda) of Spencer, NC, Danny Carver (Nanette) of Johnson City, TN, and her daughter, Debbie Whittington (Gary) of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Jennifer Matzke (Troy) of Marshville, NC, Candace Avery (Mike) of Lexington, NC, Haylee Johnson (Dustin) of Elizabethton, TN, Stephanie Barker (Andy) of Kingsport, Garret Whittington of Smyrna, GA; and seven great-grandchildren.
Freda was an animal lover, especially dogs. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in Freda’s memory.
There will be a graveside service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Happy Valley Memorial Park, under the direction of Pastor Mike Berry. Those attending are asked to please meet at the cemetery.
