Glen Willis Mccrary

Glen Willis McCrary, 57, of Oak Ridge, TN, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at his workplace, B & W Y-12, Oak Ridge. He was a native of Appalachia, VA, son of Roy Lee McCrary, Sr. and the late Betty Joyce Willis McCrary. Glen was a Welding Inspector since 1977. In addition to his mother a brother, Roy Lee McCrary, Jr, preceded him in death. He was a member of the BTJ Pipefitter United Association, Local #718. Mac (as he was known at work), exemplified the definition of a good man. He was a hardworking, supportive, dedicated and giving person, who always strived to do the right thing. His family came first and his friends knew they could count on him. Survivors include: his wife, Renée Lloyd McCrary of the home; a daughter and her partner, Brouke 'Lura'? McCrary and Dan Hofmann both of Louisville, KY; his father, Roy Lee McCrary, Sr. of Boones Creek, TN; three brothers, Steve McCrary of Asheboro, NC, Marck McCrary of Bristol, TN and Tracy McCrary of Kernersville, NC; a sister, Tina Tucker of Gray, TN; his close friend, Mike McGinnis of Oak Ridge, TN and Louisville, KY; his mother-in-law, Mildred Lloyd, brother-in-law, Mike Lloyd and sister-in-law, Regina Bowman all of Bristol, TN; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, September 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Mr. Ken Hawes. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m.
