Haney Mcniel

Haney McNiel, 90, of Jonesborough, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her residence.She was a native of West Virginia, daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Knapper Queen. Haney was machine operator in the sewing industry. She was a member of the Cherry Grove Baptist Church but attended McKinley Bible Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Curry of Baltimore, MD; a daughter, Carolyn Horne of North Carolina; six brothers, Billy, James, Appy, Charles, Lloyd and Ray.Survivors include: her husband James Eldon McNiel of the home; two sons, Ray Curry of Baltimore, Maryland and Kenneth Curry of Jonesborough; a daughter, Kimberley Wise of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Frank Queen of Florida; three sisters, Lucy, Lois and Cindy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the McKinley Bible Church, under the direction of Rev. Lenny Smith. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted in the McKinley Bible Church Cemetery following the funeral service. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
