Haskell Hodge McCoy, 79, 410 East Grand Ave. Extension, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. McCoy was a native of Sullivan County and had lived in Washington County since 1955. He was a son of the late Daniel M. McCoy and Wilma Hodge McCoy and was also preceded in death by one sister, Addie Wagner. Mr. McCoy was a retired Heavy Equipment Instructor and a former employee of Jacob?s Creek Job Corps. He was a member of Hull?s United Methodist Church. Mr. McCoy is survived by his wife, Hortentia Phillips McCoy; one sister, Lucille Jones, Bristol, TN; two nieces, Nancy Williams, SC, and Kathy Parrott, Johnson City; two nephews, Thomas Stidham, Blountville, and Jeff Phillips, Johnson City; three great nieces; and three great nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Haskell McCoy will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend John Bardsley and Reverend Millard Johnson will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Friday at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bill Faulkner, Arthur Garland, Linville Benton, Willard Hughes, Virgil Hughes, Mike Spinnato, Wayne Jones and Edmund Hughes. Bill Hubbard, Robin Barnett, Bobby Mottern, Ray Garland and Jerry Caccavale will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
