Hobert Earl 'Hobie'? Greene, 59 of Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at his residence.He was a Johnson City native and a son of the late, Robert Bud Greene and Amanda Pierce Greene.Mr. Greene attended Skyline Heights Baptist Church.Mr. Greene was the Executive Chef at Mt. Home V A Medical Center.Survivors include; his wife, Janice Horton Greene; two children, James Loran Greene and his wife, Libby and Melissa Dawn Bennett and her husband, Bobby all of Johnson City; three brothers, Kenneth Greene and his wife Barbara, Robert Greene and his wife, Carolyn and Edward Greene and his wife Judy, all of Johnson City; one sister, Shirley Calloway of Johnson City; four Grandchildren, Matthew Greene, Storm Bennett, Stone Bennett and Steele Bennett; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.Funeral services for Mr. Greene will be conducted at 8:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2010 from the Morris Baker North Chapel. Rev. Donald Page will officiate. Burial services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday from the Mt. Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Burns, Brad Presnell, David Watts, Jeff Painter, Ray Presnell and Jr. Horton. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 10:30 am on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday.
