Ileen Vista Hughes

Ileen Vista Hughes, 95, of Gray, passed away,Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Lakebridge Health Care Center. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC but had lived in the Pinecrest area most of her life. Mrs. Hughes was a daughter of the late Willard and Lula Hall Vance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Love Lee Hughes and by a daughter, Joy Phelps. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Hopwood Christian Church. Survivors include; two sons, Mike Hughes and his wife, Jenny of Gray; and Greg Hughes of Johnson City; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Rev. Mike Garland and Rev. Byron Paddock will officiate. Burial will follow in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
