James Ernest Young

James Ernest Young, 79, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Young was a native of Flint, Michigan and a son of the late Robert and Gladys Weger Young. James earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. He served in the U. S. Army for four years and was stationed in Hawaii. He was a member of Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: his wife, Elaine Mitchell Young; four daughters, Terry Young, Lisa Young, Chris Leach, and Leanne Haeffner; two sons, James Young and Scott Chehutski; seven grandchildren, Douglas Key, James and Jacob Young, Joslyn Gower, Jonelle and Justin Leach, and Aubrey Haeffner; two great grandchildren, Christian and Caleb Gower; and two brothers, William 'Bill'? Young and Robert 'Bob'? Young. A memorial service is scheduled for 4 PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church in Johnson City. Reverend George Rolling will officiate.
