James M. Guinn

Mr. James M. Guinn, age 66, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Guinn was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Lewis Guinn and Mable Turner Guinn. Mr. Guinn was a Truck driver for General Shale for forty-one years. He is survived by two sons, James Colty Guinn and his girlfriend Stacey Teague and granddaughter Peyton and Luke Brody Guinn and his wife Joni; and the mother of his two sons, Sandy Guinn; three sisters, Shirley Lawson, Ann Lyons and Linda Woodby; two brothers, Elbert Guinn and Steve Guinn. The funeral service for Mr. James M. Guinn will be conducted at 7 PM Saturday, April 20, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Steve Guinn will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:25 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Saturday prior to the service.
