Janice Christine Miller
With profound sadness, we share the passing of Janice Christine Miller, who left this world on November 23, 2025, in Johnson City, TN. Born on July 15, 1950, in Knoxville, TN, Janice lived a life defined by generosity, joy, and unwavering love-touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Janice was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Howard Miller, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with partnership, laughter, and steadfast commitment.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Kristi Miller and her partner David Hobbs, and her son, James Howard Miller II, and his wife, Carrie Stiles Miller. Janice took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and treasured her grandchildren deeply. Eily Jeffers, and her husband, Izic Jeffers, Hadley Skidmore, and her husband, Joseph Skidmore, Wheatley Harris, and her husband, Carter Harris, James Howard Miller III (Tripp), and Stiles Miller. Janice's legacy continues through her cherished first great-grandchild, Boaz Jeffers.
Professionally, Janice built a distinguished career as a loan officer in the banking industry. Her compassion and expertise earned the respect and admiration of both clients and colleagues. She will be remembered not only for her skill, but for the kindness and encouragement she extended to everyone she encountered.
Janice's laughter, warmth, and boundless hospitality brightened every room she entered. She had a rare ability to make others feel seen, welcomed, and valued-an enduring gift that enriched the lives of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A private memorial service celebrating Janice's life will be held later this month, offering her family a special time to honor and remember her.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
