Jerry Denis Smallen

Jerry Denis Smallen, 61, Mountain Home, TN, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Smallen was a native of Loudon, TN and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a construction worker and a US Army veteran. His parents, Lester and Edna Thompson Smallen; two sisters, Edith and Anna Laura and four brothers, Dan, Bob, Doug and Joe, preceded Mr. Smallen in death. Survivors include one son, Michael Keith Flannery, Jackson, Michigan; one daughter, Lorie Smallen, Gettysburg, PA and one sister, Katherine Jaynes. London, TN. A military graveside service for Mr. Smallen will be held at 1 PM Monday, June 19, 2006 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. The US National Guard will conduct these services. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
