Jerry L. Nelson

Jerry L. Nelson, 64, 396 Grassy Valley Road, Gray, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Nelson was a native of Washington County who had lived all his life in Washington County. He was the son of Lexie Sprinkle Nelson and the late G B Nelson. He was a member of the Jonesborough United Methodist Church. Survivors include: one brother, Charles Nelson and his wife Diane, of Gray; one niece, Kris Price, of Piney Flats; two nephews, Bret Nelson, of Asheville, North Carolina and Nick Nelson, of Charlotte, North Carolina; several cousins. The funeral service for Jerry L. Nelson will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, July 14, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Brad Scott and Rev. Homer Roller will officiate. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Bret Nelson, Nick Nelson, Norman Roberts, Leroy Medlin, Jim Nelson and Ronnie Nelson. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 12 noon to 2 PM Saturday, prior to the service In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jonesborough United Methodist Church, 211 West Main Street, Jonesborough, Tn. 37659.
