Jerry Lee Messer

Jerry Lee Messer, 33, of 1215 Highway 81 North, Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Cincinnati, son of the late Harold Messer, Sr. and Phyllis Ann Stallard, though he spent most of his life in Wise, Virginia. Mr. Messer was a retired stone mason and a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Alice B. Messer of the home; three sons, Harold D. W. Messer, Roger L. Messer and Logan W. Messer all of Spruce Pine, North Carolina; his mother, Phyllis Stallard of Wise, Virginia; two brothers, Harold Messer, Jr., Front Royal, VA and Matthew Richard Messer of Elizabethton; a sister, Martha Ann Messer of Wise, VA and several nieces and nephews.
