Jerry Lynn Stanton

Jerry Lynn Stanton, age 76 of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by his family on June 23, 2026. He was born on August 7, 1949, to the late Elmer Dean and Nancy Pauline Stanton in Johnson City, Tennessee.

He was retired from Amerace in Piney Flats after more than 40 years of dedicated service. Jerry was an avid golfer, Tennessee Volunteer fan. He had a dry sense of humor that could put a smile on everyone's face. He loved to play baseball in his younger days, and travel, especially going on cruises. He will most importantly be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his, half-brother, William "Bill" Stanton, and half-sister, Cricket Stanton.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Cynthia Curtis Stanton, daughter, Joyelle (Jeremy) Sanford, sons, Jeremy (Brooke) Stanton, Jarad Stanton, and Nick (Candice) Pattillo; grandchildren, Alana Stanton, Lyla Pattillo, and Sophia Robertson; brothers, Larry and Wayne (Pam) Stanton, sister, Patsy (Roger Curtis) Stanton, father-in-law, Joe Curtis, and mother-in-law, Bertha Curtis.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, with Evangelist Tooney Cash officiating. A graveside service will be immediately following in Monte Vista Memorial Park.
