John F. Cullaty

John F. Cullaty, age 77, of Piney Flats, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, on October 20, 2025, after a courageous year battling cancer. John was born on November 1, 1947 in Oakridge, Tennessee. He graduated from ETSU in 1973. He was a Member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He served in the Navy from 1970-1972.

He was a long-time resident of Johnson City and Piney Flats. John worked for the local Pizza Hut franchise for many years. He later owned and operated Cal Spas & Pools in Kingsport, Tennessee until his retirement in 2014.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Ronald Cullaty and Dorothy Kathryn Bubb Cullaty.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, D. "Lynn" Cullaty; sisters, Mary Ann Hamel, Kathryn Hayden (John), Margaret Howell (Kenny), and brother Francis Robert Cullaty (Sherry) and many nieces and nephews.

A private family Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
