John E. Jones

Mr. John E. Jones, age 64, of Blountville, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Jones was a native of West Virginia. He was a U.S. Marine veteran having retired in 1987. He was a self-employed mechanic. Mr. Jones loved dogs, birds and gardening. He was a simple man and took things one day at a time. Survivors include: one son, Berry Jones and his wife Nikki of Blountville; one special friend, Daniel Harris. The graveside service for Mr. John E. Jones will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Rev. Lon Tobin will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM Tuesday.
