Obituary for John Fazackerley Edwards

With hearts heavy yet full of cherished memories, we announce the passing of John Fazackerley Edwards, who left us on May 22, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on December 20, 1944, in Derby, England, John lived a life brimming with adventure, laughter, and love and now he is warmly remembered by those who enjoyed his humor and patience.

John was a proud Marine and Army veteran, having served in Vietnam and with Air America as a helicopter pilot. After completing his service, he brought his talents to Bristow. His time took him far and wide, from the bustling streets of Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, to the oil rigs of the North Sea as well as the Louisiana gulf coast. Transitioning to the corporate skies of America, he flew for and retired from Jet Aviation after 22 years. Over the course of his career he made countless friendships and memories that will be treasured forever. He was a devoted family man, celebrating 51 wonderful years of marriage to his beloved wife, Angela.

When he wasn't soaring through the skies, you might have found John indulging his passion for trains (full size and model) or cruising in his beloved Tesla. John is survived by his wife Angela, his sister Nikki, his children Jonathan and Tracey, and his grandchildren Alexandria and Erik.

John will be honored by family and friends in a celebration of life that reflects the joyful spirit he carried with him.
