Johnny Keith Jenkins

December 13, 1957 — February 19, 2007

Johnny 'Keith' Jenkins, 49, 512 Swadley Road, Johnson City went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Jenkins was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Charles and Gladys Isenberg Jenkins. Keith was a peacetime Army veteran and was an auto mechanic by trade. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Keith is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Van Jenkins. Survivors include: his wife, Tina M. Taylor Jenkins of Gray; one son, Jason 'Dakota' Jenkins of Gray; one daughter, Jessika 'Danielle' Jenkins of Gray; two brothers, Eddie Jenkins of Gray and Bradley Jenkins of Arkansas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service for Johnny 'Keith' Jenkins will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Rev. Randy English will officiate. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Post # 3382 of Kingsport. Active pallbearers will be Steve Leacher, Eddie Taylor, Wade Bulla, Don Shipley, Jimmy Kelley, Jeff Kelley, Tony Chapman, and Brian Briggs. Honorary pallbearer will be Ed Taylor. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Friday. The procession will then go to Mountain Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency at Bays Mountain Park.
