Joseph Edward Shields

Joseph 'Joe'? Edward Shields, 65 of Dennis Cove Road, Hampton, Tennessee, died May 19, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Clark County, Kentucky, son of the late James Everett and Beulah Averatta Hogan Shields. Joe had worked as a 'jack of all trades'? in the sawmill business. Joe was a veteran of Viet Nam having served in the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a daughter, Dwayna Shields. Survivors include: two daughters, Orianna Staley and Onawa Cutshall both of Frederick, Maryland; two sisters, Janine Cardis and Carole Ulmer, both of Indiana; two grandsons, Dustin Staley and Brandon Staley; a granddaughter, Nakiha Rock; a special friend 'like another daughter'?, Danell Cleary of Mocksville, SC. Mr. Sheilds is to be cremated and scattered at a later date in the national forest in North Carolina.
