Josie Lee Pavone

Josie Lee Pavone, 88, of 2306 Camelot Circle, Johnson City, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Erwin Center on Aging and Health. She was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, daughter of the late William A. and Virgie Hughes Garland. Josie was a homemaker and member of the Heritage Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Street and two brothers, Hubert and Hunter Garland. Survivors include: three sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark and Jane Stanewicz of Gray, William Michael Stanewicz of Pennsylvania and Dennis Stanewicz of Johnson City; a sister, Marie Morris of Ocean City, Maryland; two grandchildren, Camile and Michael Stanewicz; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home. There will be a private entombment at Monte Vista Memorial Park later.
