Obituary for Joy Marr Tittle
We regret to announce the passing of Joy Marr Tittle, who left us peacefully at the age of 100 on November 29, 2025. Born in Washington Co. Tennessee on January 3, 1925, Joy lived a full life, dedicated to her family, her work, and her community in Johnson City.
Joy spent many years as a clerical worker in the Johnson City Schools, where her contributions were appreciated by students and teachers alike. She held a bachelor's degree and had an unwavering passion for education, believing in the power of knowledge and support.
Joy was preceded in death by: Parents Noah& Ruby Berry; Brothers Hugh Berry, and George Berry; Sisters Betty Berry, and Jacqueline Bailey.
Joy was a proud mother to her two sons, James and Jerald Tittle, and sister Golda Morrison. Whom she is survived by. She filled their lives with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The Tittle family will receive friends and family Tuesday March 17, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at First Christian Church Johnson City, a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a local educational charity, reflecting Joy's lifelong dedication to learning and community support.
Rest in peace, Joy. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those you loved and nurtured throughout your extraordinary journey.
