June Brown Day, age 91, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Johnson City, June was born on April 3, 1934, to the late Charles "June" Brown and Floy Rector Brown. She was a proud graduate of Science Hill High School.
June met the love of her life, Garnett Day, and they shared a devoted marriage until his passing in 2019. She worked as a supervisor for Equifax Credit Bureau and was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit.
She had a deep love for horses and a greater love for her family. A woman of faith, June was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member until the onset of COVID-19.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Rex Brown, and her brother, John Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Cindy (James) Robbins; her son, Mark (Lynn) Day; grandchildren, Amber (Wes) Garland, Racheal Odum, Alicia Robbins, and Austin Robbins; and great-grandchildren, Carmon, James, Nolan, Madison, and Ryleigh; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her lifelong friend who was like a sister, MaryAnn Taylor.
A private burial was held at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
