Karla Cress Casto

Karla Cress Casto, 79, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 21^st after an extended illness. 
 
She was born in Mountain City, TN, on the 27^th of July, 1944, to the late Wilmer Cress and Mary Goodwin Cress. She was a graduate of Johnson County High School class of 1962, where she was valedictorian. 
 
 Karla moved to Washington, DC, in 1964, where she worked for the US Navy. She met her late husband, Gary L Casto, there and they relocated to his hometown of Williamstown, West Virginia, following their marriage. She remained there until his passing in September of 2021, relocating to Johnson City in May of 2022.
 
 She is survived by a sister, Kerry Lynn Kaiser of Manassas, VA, and a brother, Eddie Cress and wife Betty of Johnson City, TN.
 
 The family is honoring Karla’s wish for no formal services.
