Katheryn Alice Phillips

Katheryn 'Kathy'? Alice Phillips, 49, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Johnson City, daughter of the late Rev. Ivan and Frances Marie Kennedy Williams. Kathy was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, four brothers, Dorsey, Johnny, Eddie and Mark Williams, preceded her in death. Kathy loved her family and was like a mother to many children. Survivors include: her husband, Michael L. Phillips of the home; a son, Uriah Scott Phillips of Johnson City; a brother, Ivan Williams of Johnson City; two sisters, Hilda Osborne of Johnson City and Rita Johnson and her husband, Ronnie of Unicoi; several nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Katrina and Heather Osborne; a special sister-in-law, Becky Taylor and brother-in-law, Gene Deloach. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Pastor Terry Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 8:00 p.m.
