Obituary for Kenneth Cecil Tittle

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kenneth Cecil Tittle, 79, who left us on October 28, 2026. Born in Erwin, TN on May 4, 1947, Kenneth grew up with a love for life and an unwavering passion for helping others, especially children.

Kenneth was a familiar face in Johnson City, where he dedicated many years of his life as a school custodian within a cleaning service. He was known for his warm smile and his ability to uplift those around him. As an evangelist, he made connections across many different churches, sharing his faith and spreading joy to everyone he met.

He was especially fond of his group of beloved children: Kara Hyder, Kayla Hyder, Todd McLaughlin, Holden Orton, Cody Lyle., and Jill Orton. He enjoyed visitations from Kelly and Olivia, and taking Tony Hyder fishing. Ken loved Indian wrestling with Larry Hilton. They all brought him immeasurable happiness, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. Also, the family wants to say thanks to Caris of Johnson City, The Waters of Johnson City, and special thanks to
Jermery for their care and love to Ken.

If you knew Kenneth, you knew he had a soft spot for his favorite treats-Pepsi and Reese's Cups. His simple pleasures were a testament to his joyful spirit.

Kenneth was preceded in death by parents Cecil Tittle, Helen Haun.

Kenneth is survived by his loving sisters, Kathy & (Larry) Hilton and Donna Hyder, and several nephews and nieces who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Graveside services for Kenneth will be Saturday October 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM at McInturff Cemetery on Mableton Rd. in Erwin. With Rev. Todd McLaughlin to officiate. Family and friends are encouraged to meet at the cemetery and celebrate his life, share stories, and honor his legacy of kindness.

Rest in peace, Kenneth. You will be missed more than words can say.
