Loren F. Donatell

Loren F. Donatell, 79, of Ooltewah, TN, died January 20, 2023, at Lakebridge Healthcare, Johnson City, TN.

He was a Wisconsin native and the son of the late Frank and Ruth Petersen Donatell. Loren was raised in Minnesota and lived in Ooltewah for many years.

He was a graduate of Mechanic Arts High School, St. Paul, MN, and the University of Florida.

He was a U. S. Navy veteran.

Prior to his retirement, Loren was employed as a nuclear engineer with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Technical Training Center, Chattanooga.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Marie Donatell.

Survivors include: two daughters, Alex Nelson, of Johnson City, and Meredith Whitney Donatell, of Ooltehwah, TN; and two grandsons, Parker and Cooper Nelson, both of Johnson city.

At a later date, Mr. Donatell will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN, following private committal services.
