Loretta Louise Padgett

Loretta L. Padgett, 75, a resident of Asbury Place in Johnson City, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 after a brief illness. She was a native of Masontown, West Virginia, and a daughter of the late Odie and Gertrude Dye Shaffer. She was a member of the Church Of God in Lady Lake, Florida. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Mitchell Jr. her second husband, Sidney Padgett. Survivors include; one son, George W. Mitchell III and his wife, Joan of Johnson City; one brother, Dave Shaffer of Masontown, West Virginia; one granddaughter, Jaime Britt and her husband, David, of Erwin; two great grandchildren, Ayla Harris and Frank Harris, both of Erwin; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 25th, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Masontown, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cherokee United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 2615 S. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
