Mable Lucille Simpson

Mrs. Joyce Simpson, 67, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center. Joyce was a life long resident of Watauga, TN. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Selma Arnett. Joyce was a homemaker, a great mother, grandmother, wife and sister. She was a loving and caring person, and an awesome mother-in-law. Survivors include: her husband of 47 years, Larry Gene Simpson, Sr.; two sons, Larry Gene Simpson, Jr. and James Eldridge Simpson and his wife Rachael Estep Simpson; one daughter, Amy Michelle Simpson Sigman and her husband Steve Sigman; three brothers, Ricky Arnett, Clarence Arnett and Bud Arnett; four sisters, Della Arnett, Lois Shephard and her husband Don, Diane Laws and Nancy Tipton; eight grandchildren, Ravyn Grayer, Brett Sneyd, Robert Sneyd, Skyler Estep Pierce, Austin Simpson, Peyton Simpson, C.J. Sigman and Jyesilea Simpson; one great grandchild, Tymber Raine Grayer; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Joyce Simpson will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Monday, October 9, 2017 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The committal service will follow at 1:00 PM at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Mr. Charlie McKinney officiating. Active pallbearers include: Ricky Arnett, Brett Sneyd, Peyton Simpson, Larry Simpson, Eddie Simpson and C.J. Sigman. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family.
