Madeline Johnson

Madeline Johnson, 84, of Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at her home. She was a native of Elkhorn City, KY and a daughter of the late, Walter and Ethel Potter Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard after 58 years of marriage; three brothers, Lloyd, Paris and Monte Tipton. Madeline attended Keystone Presbyterian Church and retired as a Private Duty Healthcare Give. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Don Johnson of Johnson City and Ed and Anne Johnson of Elizabethton; one sister Martha Bustler of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Lori, Jason, and Brittany; two step grandchildren Michael and Jeff; three great grandchildren Jessica, Patrick, and Heath; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel and officiated by Rev. Jim Foote. Burial services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A procession will leave the funeral home at 1:45 pm on Sunday, going to Monte Vista.
