Margaret Helen Jones

Margaret “Helen” Jones, age 74, of Johnson City, Tennessee, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at her home.

A lifelong resident of Johnson City, Helen was born December 28, 1947, to the late William Hindenberg Slemp and Virginia Eileen Ellis Slemp. She graduated from Happy Valley High School in 1965.

She attended King Springs Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William E. Slemp and his wife, Mary Slemp, and her sister, Mary Walker and her husband, Larry Walker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, William “Bill” Jones (and Sherry Jones), Jeffery Jones (and Letha Jones), and Myra Jones (and Craig Loftus); granddaughter, Emily Jones and (Lucas Garland); and former spouse, Wayne Jones.

There are no public services. She will be buried at Washington County Memory Gardens.
