Margaret "Louise" Watts, age 101 of Jonesborough, Tennessee passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026 at American House Johnson City. She was born on March 28, 1925 in Washington County to the late Clyde and Montie Nelson. Louise was a longtime member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church in Gray. Louise will be remembered for her love or reading, but most importantly for being a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Geater "Coonie" Watts, parents, Clyde and Montie Hensley Nelson, brothers, Edward, Wayne, Cecil, Howard and Tommy Nelson, and sister, Barbara Casey.

She is survived by son, Keith Watts and wife Nancy, grandson, Justin Watts, and wife Norie Anne, and great-granddaughter, Delaney, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in Mountain Home National Cemetery in the historic section on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00am, with Pastor David Fox officiating. All attending are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 10:50am.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church.
