Margie Neal Holloway, 99 of Piney Flats, passed away on January 18, 2026 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was a native and lifelong resident of Sullivan County. She was born to the late Andrew Lewis Sartain and Martha Alice Sinard Sartain on October 5, 1926.
Margie worked for TPI for more than 20 years, and she was a faithful member of Johnson City Church of God for over 30 years. In the church as well as in daily life Margie ministered to those around her, demonstrated steadfast faith and served as a prayer warrior for those in need. Margie had a tremendous impact on the life of others.
In addition to to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert Sartain, Rufus Sartain, Floyd Sartain, and sisters, Louise Metcalf, Mary Slemp, Virginia Milhorn, and sons-in-law, Boyce Davis and Ben T. Ferguson III.
Survivors include: daughters, Glenda Davis and Brenda Ferguson; grandchildren, Christy (Dustin) Helms, Wesley (Megan) Davis, Amanda Ferguson, Ben Ferguson IV; great-grandchildren, Joseph Davis, Claire Davis, Andrew Davis, Ethan Helms, Evelyn Helms, and Bella Davis; brothers, Donald Sartin and Fred Sartain, and sister, Polly Proffit, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 2:00pm in Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. C. Bryant Collins officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or to Johnson City Church of God.
