Mary Ellen Garner

Mary Ellen Garner, 93, of Johnson City, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Ellen C. Neill Riley. Mrs. Garner was a former telephone operator. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William ?Bill' Garner, Lt. Colonel Ret. USAF in 1978; a son, Theodore ?Ted' Garner; a brother, Eugene Riley; four sisters, Elizabeth, Geraldine, Ann and Joan. Survivors include: her daughter, Karin Miller (husband, Billy); two sisters, Delia Ann Uhrich and Kathleen Ann O?Hare; two grandsons, Adam and Chad Miller; two great grandchildren, Cloey and Carson Miller; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Nashville National Cemetery under the direction of Deacon Mike Kopczynski. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:45pm. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. There will be no public visitation.
