It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Lee Fields, who left us on November 5, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on October 4, 1936, in Blountville, TN, Mary led a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She lived most of her life in Johnson City, TN, 

Mary was married to her beloved husband, James M Fields, for an incredible 68 years. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home for their daughters, Sheri Sudduth & ( Jody), Leigh Ann Bryant & (Darrell), Katina Bowman & (John). Mary took immense pride in her family and was blessed with grandchildren Brittany Pratt & (Tyler), Alyssa Barrett, Tyler Barrett, Lexi Bryant, Joanna Bowman, Rebekah Bowman, Damon Sudduth & (Montana), and Skyler Sudduth, as well as great-grandchildren Finn and Sadie Pratt, brother Wayne Coffman & (Rose), and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Mary was preceded in death by parents Zhinga & Margaret Coffman, sister Mae Millsap, brother G C Coffman.

Throughout her life, Mary was an active member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, sharing her love and faith with others. She had a knack for sewing and cooking, often whipping up delicious meals for family gatherings and special occasions. When she wasn't busy in the kitchen or with church activities, she loved to go shell hunting, finding treasures from nature that she cherished.

The fields family will receive friends Monday November 9, 2026 from 11:00 to 12:00 Pm for visitation, and the Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at Morris Baker Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will then be held at 2:00 PM also on Monday November 9, 2026 at Emory Cemetery in Kingsport on Emery Church Rd.

We will always remember Mary for her warm spirit, her kind heart, and her unwavering dedication to her family. She will be missed immensely but will forever remain in our hearts.
