Mary Sanders Hoilman, age 89 of Johnson City went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2026. She was born to the late, Arthur Sanders and Dolly Mae Roberts on December 11, 1936 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Mary was a member of the Y Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City, where she served on the ladies circle. She loved to sing, especially hymns, she also loved flowers, especially roses. Mary enjoyed waiting each year for the humming birds to arrive. Most of all Mary loved her family, and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bill Hoilman, two sons, James "Doyle" Hoilman and Billy Wayne Hoilman, as well as several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patricia Potter and husband Tim, granddaughter, Jami Stanley, James "Jay" Hoilman and wife Julia, Tanya Shilling, Kristen Triplett and husband Matt, Kris Hoilman, Ashley Miller and husband Jason, Mariha Svendsen, and Dylan Hoilman; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Mary also has six half sisters and one half brother surviving.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00am in Washington County Memory Gardens. All attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
