Mary Jane Walters of Limestone, TN passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2024 at 5:35 pm. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Sister, Mamaw, great aunt, and all a around a gift from heaven. Mary Jane embodied compassion and care in every aspect of her life. Mary enjoyed playing video games and working in the yard, but most importantly, spending time with her husband, grandkids and family.
Mary was preceded in death by: mother, Gladys Cox, father, Milton Cox, brother, Thomas Cox, sister, Anna Arnett, and niece, Donna Gail Hughes.
She leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, Mary Jane lives on in the hearts of her devoted husband of 49 and a half years William Issac Walters, daughter Crystal Bowen, son Will Walters, her cherished grandchildren Brayden, Hailie, Misty, Michelle, Devin, and Sarah, and her beloved great-grandchildren Lucas, Zarah, and Jasper, Son-in-law Dom Bowen, Daughter-in-law Trish Walters, niece Carla, and great niece Amber.
Her warm smile and loving spirit brought joy to all who knew her, and she will forever be remembered for her kindness and generosity. In this time of grief, let us come together to celebrate her life and the lasting impact she had on all of us. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those who loved her as we bid her a fond farewell.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Maple Room. Following the visitation Mary will be laid to rest in Washington County Memory Gardens at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Mary's name to St. Jude's Hospital.
