Matthew Bean Tucker

Matthew B. Tucker, 65, of Johnson City, died Sunday, August 7, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Brownsville, TN and a son of Jean Smith Tucker of Johnson City and the late, Matthew Tucker. Mr. Tucker was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Tucker and a sister, Nancy Ann Tucker Sanders.Mr. Tucker was a member Central Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He was also a member of the Johnson City VFW and American Legion. Survivors in addition to his mother, include; one daughter, Allison Tucker Reinhardt of Jonesborough; two brothers, Walter 'Rick'? Tucker of Wytheville, Va and Robert 'Tommy'? Tucker of Ada, MI; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Julia Tucker Lloyd will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Home National Cemetery on Thursday at 10:00 am. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 9:30 am Thursday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 6:00 pm Wednesday.
