Matthew Garrett Hampton

Matthew Garrett Hampton, age 32, of Johnson City, passed away last week at his residence. Mr. Hampton was a native of Johnson City. He was the son of Jeffrey Hampton and Rebecca Rowe Hampton. Survivors other than his mother and father include one sister, Megan Davis; one brother, Marcus Hampton; his paternal grandmother, Lois Hampton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Matthew was a talented musician, avid reader, generous soul, and beloved friend. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends are greatly appreciated. A memorial service for Matthew Hampton will be conducted at 3 PM Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Dan Foster will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Friday prior to the service.
