Obituary for Mia Marie Browning
With heavy hearts yet joyous spirits, we celebrate the beautiful life of Mia Marie Browning, who was born on October 5, 2007, in Tennessee. Mia's radiant light touched the lives of all who knew her until her passing on May 24, 2025, at the tender age of 17.
Mia, a vibrant and loving daughter, sister, and friend, filled our days with laughter and kindness. She is survived by her devoted mother, Kristine Browning, her loving father, Ian Browning, her adoring brother, Reece Browning, and Tazalee her dog. Mia's spicy spirit and compassionate heart remain forever etched in the memories of her family and friends.
We honor her courage, her fight, and her strength. Though her body was battling leukemia, her spirit and her faith never wavered. Her love for others only grew and she helped them with their own fight. She was forever grateful for the support from all the community she received through the years - from St. Jude, CHOP, Mallard Cove, Harvest Time Church, Appalachian Warriors and from friends, family and strangers all over the country. She especially loved cards and notes from other children.
As we remember Mia, we invite her family and friends to join us in honoring her life. Where we will gather to celebrate her journey and the joyous moments, she gifted us.
The Browning family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday May 31 at The Heritage 161 Molly Grayce Ln, Jonesborough, TN 37659, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. In the spirit of Mia's warmth and zest for life, we encourage all who knew her to come together, share stories, and reminisce about the light she brought into our lives. Mia may have departed from this world, but her spirit will be with us always - echoing in our laughter and filling our hearts with love. Her impact on our lives will never be forgotten. Friends are encouraged to bring pictures to be displayed with the opportunity to write a memory as well.
In memorializing Mia, we ask for donations to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please be grateful for the healthy children in your life, and give to those who are not.
Mia, we celebrate your life with gratitude and joy. Think of Mia when you see the sunset, in the golden hour, and be grateful for the life and the time we've had together. She will forever be missed, always loved, and remembered with celebration.
