Minnie Lee Vollmer

Minnie Lee Whittaker Vollmer, 80, 301 Prince Street, Johnson City died Saturday, July 2, 2005 in the North Side Hospital. Mrs. Vollmer was a native of Montgomery AL. and had lived in Johnson City for about 13 years. Mrs. Vollmer was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Clarence Whittaker. She was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked in a Detroit, Michigan hospital. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include: one son, Chuck Whittaker of Stockton, CA; one daughter, Nancy Whittaker of Detroit, MI; three grandchildren, Keon Whittaker of Galesburg, MI, Nanette White of Detroit, MI and Tynetta Akinsanya of Johnson City; one great grandson, Eullas Goodwin of Johnson City. A host of other family and friends survive. Mrs. Vollmer will be cremated and a service held at a later date.
