Myrtle L. Heaton

Myrtle L. Heaton, 78, of Johnson City passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Quillen Rehab Hospital in Johnson City, TN. She was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late D.W. Whitson and Mabel Arnette Whitson. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Oakland Avenue Baptist Church for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 59years Billy Dean Heaton and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: son, Darrell Heaton of Johnson City, TN.; daughter, Cheri Alderman and husband John of Eagle Lake, FL.; sisters, Phyllis Lewis and husband Ronnie of Johnson City, TN. and Beulah Britt and husband Jim of Johnson City, TN.; brothers, Odell Whitson and wife Edna of Johnson City, TN., Billy Whitson and wife Judy of Pigeon Forge, TN. and Willard Whitson of VA.; grandchildren, Wendy Simpson of Johnson City, TN. and Rebecca Taylor of Johnson City, TN.; great granddaughter, Kelsey Parshall of Johnson City, TN.
