Ora Maxine Barnett

Ora Maxine Barnett, 81, Johnson City, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at Lakebridge Health Care Center. She worked for many years as a nurse. Maxine was preceded in death by: her parents, Glenn and Maggie Nell Minton; her husband of 53 years, A. R. Barnett; one son, David Barnett; one grandson, Lance Barnett; as well as several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: one brother, Bob Minton; a daughter, Robin Cole; a son, Travis Barnett; six grandchildren, Heath Barnett and his wife Jill, Nikki Cornelius and her husband Keith, Alexa Barnett, Matthew Barnett, Reis Barnett, and Aliyah Barnett; and two great-grandchildren, Reed Barnett and Jenny Lyn Barnett. There will be a committal service at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet there by 2:50 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, 1020 Jericho Dr., Kingsport, TN 37663.
