Peggy Jean Emmert, 77, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Peggy was born in Butler to the late Clinton Lee and Pearl Bonnie Atwood Perkins. Peggy was employed for many years at North Electric. Peggy Emmert was saved by grace. On August 8, 1958, Peggy married the love of her life. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by one brother, Clinton Lee Perkins, Jr. Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Kenneth W. Emmert; one brother, John Perkins and his wife Gail; two sisters-in-law, Coleen Perkins and Joanne Emmert Marley and her husband Ed; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Emmert and his wife Elaine and Rondal ?Ronny' Emmert; nieces and nephews, Donna Webb and her husband Steve, Troy Perkins and his wife Cindy, Steve Perkins and his wife Nancy, Debra Scalf and her husband Keebo, John D. Perkins and his wife Jenny, Judith Lewis and her husband Jeff, Lori Ann Haynes and her husband Eddie, Lisa White and her husband David, Rodney Emmert and his wife Melissa, Kevin Burchfield and his wife Melissa, Kristie Burchfield, and Jody Lewis and his wife Carrie; and multiple great nieces and nephews. The family of Peggy Emmert would like to thank special friends, Gilda and Teddy Reed, for their many hours of love and support. The family would also like to thank Bristol Regional Medical Center and the specialty floor at Bristol Wellmont Rehab for their care and compassion. The family of Peggy Emmert will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be: Michael Johnson, Nathan Webb, Teddy Reed, Steve Perkins, Clint Webb and Keebo Scalf. Honorary pallbearers include: Troy Perkins, Dr. Steve Webb, Dr. Steve Kimbro, Jamie Hughes and Bobby Emmert. Family and friends will follow in procession to Happy Valley Memorial Park for 3:00 PM graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.stjude.org/donate.
