Peter B. O’Hare, 87, Johnson City, passed away at home on December 12, 2025, due to complications from COPD.
Peter was born in St. Louis, Missouri, raised and worked in Houston, Texas and retired to Tennessee. He attended both Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M University. From 1960-1965 he was enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Pete worked for many years in the hydraulics and petrochemical industries. The last 25 years of his career were dedicated to a manufacturing business he owned and started, Brian Products Inc. Pete was a lifelong Roman Catholic and was honored to be a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member. Pete was an avid hunter of game across Texas. Most importantly, he was the father of six children who he raised with his wife of 62 years, Patricia.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, John H. O’Hare and Anna Dowd O’Hare.
He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Patricia Ann O’Hare. Additional survivors include: his sister, Mary O’Hare Walsh; brother, Charles O’Hare (wife Nancy); children, Brian O’Hare (wife Reanna), Kathleen O’Hare (husband Patrick Graham), Colleen O’Hare Hermann (husband John), Maureen O’Hare Crespo (husband Javier), Kevin O’Hare (wife Andrea), Michael O’Hare (wife Sarah); 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The O’Hare family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, in the Dogwood Chapel at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The Rosery Service will commence immediately following at 7:00pm led by John Rusyniak.
A second visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00am-11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated in the main sanctuary at 11:00am, followed by a walking procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park for graveside services. The Knights of Columbus will be providing the Honor Guard.
