Phyllis Ann Gibson, 88, of Johnson City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026. She was a native of West Virginia, where she and her beloved husband of 57 years, the late Jim Gibson, began their life together.
Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around her faith and family. She was an active and faithful member of Piney Flats First Baptist Church. She found great joy in spending time with those she loved most and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering faith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Mark (Elizabeth) Gibson, Kim (Kent) Sprague, and Vicki (Shawn) Judy; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Phyllis’ family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, with a funeral immediately following under the direction of Brian Wilson. A committal service will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Homebound Ministries of Piney Flats First Baptist Church (100 Cherry Rd, Piney Flats, TN 37686).
