Phyllis L. Meert

Mrs. Phyllis L. Meert, age 91, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Wexford House in Kingsport. Mrs. Meert was a native of Saint Paul, Minnesota. She was the daughter of the late Mauritz Linnell and Virginia Shepard Linnell. In addition to her parents her first husband, Albert F. Ehlert; her second husband, Norbert Meert; one daughter, Barbara Mossman; one granddaughter, Carrie Mossman also preceded her in death. Mrs. Meert was a homemaker and a member of the Johnson City Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Joan Johnson of Surgoinsville; two sons, Bruce Ehlert of Mountain City and David Ehlert of Pine Valley, California; three grandchildren, Heidi Nordby, Heather Montes and Logan Harper; three great grandchildren, Anastazia Nordby, Isadora Nordby and Camdem Montes. A memorial service for Mrs. Phyllis L. Meert will be conducted at 7 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Johnson City Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Paul Dixon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM prior to the service.
