Ralph Nathaniel Black

Ralph Nathaniel Black, 75, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Washington County, a son of the late Charles Sr. and Helen Logan Black. Ralph had attended University Parkway Baptist. He worked for Eastman Chemical Company as a team leader before retiring after 35 years of service. In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Mitchell Black. Survivors include: three siblings, Norma Good, Acy Church and Charles Black Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special Cat. A committal service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 24, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Scott Thompson will be officiating with the family acting as honorary pallbearers. Friends and family are asked to gather at the graveside by 1:50 PM.
