Randy Lee Norris, 66, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 following a hard battle with cancer.
He was a native of Logan, Ohio, son of the late Stanley and Martha Burgess Norris.
Randy was a graduate of Logan High School, where he enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball for the Chieftains. He went on to earn a degree in Electronics Engineering before spending 37 years working for American Electric Power at the Poston Station, Conesville, and Sporn power plants.
He loved to spend time with his family, watch Ohio State football, and go bass fishing. He was also interested in his family history, able to trace his ancestry back to William Brewster, a community leader and church elder who arrived on the Mayflower.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife of 45 years, Sandra White Norris; daughter, Erin Neuberger and husband Andy; sister, Vicky Peppers; grandchildren, Dylan Neuberger and Adalyn “Addie” Neuberger; five nephews; and beloved dog, Gracie.
Randy Norris will be laid to rest at Monte Vista Memorial Park in Johnson City, Tennessee, following a private family ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
