Rex Allen Marshall

Rex Allen Marshall, 42, 107 Jamie Elaine Drive, Elizabethton died Thursday, June 29, 2006 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Marshall was a native of Kingsport and had lived in Elizabethton for the past ten years. He is a son of Dessile Juanite Scarberry Marshall Collins. Mr. Marshall was retired from the United States Armed Forces and the Veterans Affairs. He served during his military career in Desert Storm, Korea and Hondrus. Mr. Marshall attended St. Mary?s Catholic Church. He was a member of the Dashiell Lodge #238 F and AM. Mr. Marshall is preceded in death by his grandparents and his father. Survivors in addition to his mother include: his wife, Kristi Marshall of the home; two daughters, Ashley Jones and Heather Marshall, both of Gray; three brothers, Lester Marshall of Gate City, VA, Rocky Marshall of Flagstaff, AZ. And Wayne Marshall of Mountain City, TN; two sisters, Linda Begeley and Julie Hensley, both of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Keegan Marshall and Jennifer Jones; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Rex Allen Marshall will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, July 2, 2006 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Father Anietie Akata will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM Monday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside by the V.F.W. Post # 3382 of Kingsport. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 AM for the service. Active pallbearers will be Don Ray, Jon Ray, Junior Begeley, Lester Marshall, Mitchell Hensley, Jeremy Jones, and Rocky Marshall. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence, 107 Jamie Elaine Drive, Elizabethton at anytime.
