Richard Swisher

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Richard Allen Swisher, who left us on August 1, 2025, after a life well-lived. Born on July 8, 1948, in Bucyrus, Ohio, Richard brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He spent his years as a devoted father and successful professional, working as the Director of Operations at AT&T in the telecommunications industry. Richard had a passion for collecting classic cars (especially Corvettes) and antiques.

Richard was preceded in death by parents James & Georgia Mackenzie Swisher.

Richard is survived by his three loving daughters, Jodie Swisher, Katie Foushee (husband, Timothy), and Chelsea Ambrose (husband, Blake), and his caring girlfriend Hester Long. Additionally he is survived by two sisters Susan Hunt, Jane Hildebrand, and three nephews Jason Hildebrand, Shawn Hunt, and James Hildebrand, as well as numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He cherished his family deeply and was a proud Army veteran, serving his country with honor.
